Afaq is one of the pioneer graduates of the National University of Technology (NUTECH), where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2022. 

After graduation, he is currently pursuing his Master's in Computer Science on a fully-funded scholarship at UFRGS (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul), Brazil. This fully-funded scholarship at UFRGS supports international graduate students—especially in master's and PhD programs—through government-funded agencies like CAPES and CNPq. These scholarships cover full tuition (as UFRGS is a public university with no tuition fees) and provide monthly stipends to support living and research expenses for up to 2 years (Master’s) or 4 years (PhD).
