Erasmus Mundus Scholarship
Muthair Saeed is one of the pioneer graduates of the National University of Technology (NUTECH), where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2022, graduating with distinction through the support of eight merit-based scholarships and receiving the prestigious President's Gold Medal. He was later awarded the highly competitive Erasmus Mundus Scholarship (EMSHIP+), allowing him to pursue advanced studies across multiple European countries.
The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship is a prestigious and fully funded international scholarship program offered by the European Union to support outstanding students from around the world in pursuing joint Master’s or Doctoral degrees across multiple European universities. Designed to promote academic excellence, cultural exchange, and international cooperation, the scholarship covers tuition fees, travel expenses, health insurance, and a generous monthly stipend. Recipients study in at least two different countries within a consortium of participating institutions, gaining exposure to diverse academic environments and global perspectives.
His Master’s program focuses on Advanced Ship and Offshore Structure Design, a collaborative initiative involving seven universities across six countries. As part of this program, he primarily collaborates with the University of Liège in Belgium and the University of Rostock in Germany. He is currently completing his master's thesis and working as a structural design engineer in Germany.
