Alumni Insights: Navigating Paths to Success

29 May 2024

The Alumni Association of NUTECH successfully organized "Alumni Insights: Navigating Paths to Success", a mentorship event aimed at guiding current students through academic and professional decision-making. Featuring six alumni panelists from different fields of engineering —including Civil, electrical, Mechanical and computer engineering, the session provided valuable insights into real-world challenges, career development, and personal growth beyond university life.

The Alumni Association NUTECH (AAN) also conducted an exciting startup pitching event inspired by the Shark Tank model, providing a dynamic platform for current students to present their innovative business ideas. Shortlisted teams took the stage to pitch their startups, which were evaluated based on originality, industrial relevance, problem-solving potential, execution strategy, and scalability. The distinguished jury—comprising the Registrar NUTECH and alumni from the earlier panel discussion—brought a wealth of expertise from various business domains, ensuring a well-rounded assessment of each pitch. The best startup idea was honored with a cash prize, marking a major step in encouraging entrepreneurial thinking within the NUTECH student community.

Students actively engaged in discussions, asked questions, and gained practical advice on career planning, skill-building, and industry readiness. The event concluded with a networking session, fostering meaningful connections between students and alumni. This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening the alumni-student bond and cultivating a culture of mentorship within the NUTECH community.
