The Alumni Association of NUTECH successfully organized “Global Pathways 2.0”, an engaging and informative online workshop aimed at guiding students interested in pursuing higher education opportunities abroad. The session was conducted by two accomplished alumni: Engr. Muhammad Huzaifa, currently pursuing a Master of Research (MRes) in Structural Engineering at Bond University, and Mr. Khizar Aziz, a graduate of MBA – Australia, both of whom are currently based in Australia.
Building on the success of the first Global Pathways session, this workshop was tailored to provide participants with in-depth insights into scholarships and student life in Australia. The speakers elaborated on crucial topics such as identifying suitable scholarship opportunities, navigating the competitive admission process, managing visa requirements, and adapting to both academic and cultural environments in Australia.
Drawing from their personal journeys, both alumni shared candid accounts of their experiences as international students, highlighting the challenges and opportunities of studying abroad. They offered practical advice on managing finances, balancing academic responsibilities with part-time work, and making the most of cross-cultural experiences. Their narratives not only provided useful information but also served as a source of inspiration for students aiming to study in Australia.
The session featured an interactive Q&A segment, where students actively engaged with the speakers, seeking clarity on academic requirements, career prospects, and pathways to post-study employment. The thoughtful responses and detailed guidance offered by the alumni helped demystify the process for aspiring international applicants.
Overall, “Global Pathways 2.0” proved to be a highly impactful initiative, broadening the horizons of NUTECH students by exposing them to international academic landscapes and career opportunities. The event underscored the Alumni Association’s ongoing commitment to connecting graduates with current students, fostering mentorship, and empowering the NUTECH community with global perspectives.
